What hasn't changed in 10 years: we treat every property as if it were our own. And every guest as a guest in our home.

About Santiago de Cuba
Things to do in Santiago de Cuba: guide & attractions →
Santiago de Cuba is the country's second city and the capital of the east: cradle of son and trova, stage of the Revolution, and Cuba's most Caribbean and Afro-Cuban city. Wedged between the Sierra Maestra and the sea, it has a heat, a rhythm and an identity all its own, distinct from Havana.
Casas particulares here are among the cheapest in Cuba and cluster around Parque Céspedes and the Cathedral. Close by are the UNESCO-listed Castillo del Morro, the Moncada Barracks and the Santa Ifigenia cemetery, where José Martí and Fidel Castro rest. In July, Carnival is the biggest on the island.
Highlights
- Cradle of son and trova — live music every night
- Castillo del Morro, UNESCO World Heritage
- Moncada Barracks and Santa Ifigenia cemetery (Martí, Fidel)
- Cuba's biggest Carnival (July)
